The grooves lead the hands to those cues, which work best in a progression of exploring the table. When used on Mid-stage tables the technology is also designed to aid the caregiver in assimilating a user with the table, freeing the caregiver for other activities if desired. However, with later stage users the caregiver may wish to stay involved for the greatest impact to the user.
